Responsibilities:

• Performing due diligence on new clients, requesting KYC information, and documentation, reviewing and verification of received documentation, and making an analytical risk assessment for new clients;
• Analyzing existing policies and procedures relating to new & existing customers' data and suggesting any improvements;
• Auditing Bybit’s adherence to compliance procedures;
• Studying market trends and evaluating customer behaviour;
• Assist in the organization's efforts to prevent money laundering and other illicit financial activities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within FinTech or Financial Sector - Banking or Digital Banking, Asset Management, Forex Trading;
• Passionate about the world of Blockchain and web3, previous experience is a plus;
• Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering);
• In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations;
• Highly analytical with strong attention to details;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Integrity and professional ethics.

Suspicious Activity Report Specialist (SAR)

Job description:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Industry SAR Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for conducting thorough monitoring, analysis, and reporting of suspicious activities related to virtual currency transactions. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in anti-money laundering (AML), compliance, risk management, customer due diligence (CDD), or the virtual currency industry, with proficiency in SAR processes and blockchain analysis tools.

Proficiency in both English is essential for internal communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive monitoring and analysis of virtual currency transactions to detect suspicious activities, patterns, and anomalies;

• Utilize blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, CipherTrace, etc., to investigate and assess potential risks associated with suspicious transactions;

• Independently investigate flagged transactions, gather necessary information, and make informed decisions regarding the filing of SARs;

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to review findings, escalate issues, and ensure timely and accurate SAR reporting;

• Maintain detailed documentation of SAR investigations, findings, and decisions made, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;

• Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices related to SAR reporting in the virtual currency sector;

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including preparing clear and concise SAR reports and recommendations;

• Support training and development initiatives related to SAR processes and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CRCM) preferred;

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in AML, compliance, CDD, risk management, or the virtual currency industry;

• Experience with virtual currency exchanges, payment platforms, or fintech companies is a plus;

• Proficiency in using blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, CipherTrace, etc., for transaction monitoring and analysis;

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently investigate suspicious activities and make sound decisions;

• Excellent written and oral communication skills to accurately document and communicate SAR findings and reports;

• Understanding of SAR filing requirements and regulatory expectations in relevant jurisdictions.
